            Did the Earth Always Look Like How It Is Now?





            Nearly 335 million years ago, the Earth

            was in the form of a big supercontinent.

            This supercontinent was called

            Pangaea. Pangaea was basically the

            continents of our modern world but all


            connected into one massive body                                                 Before

            surrounded by a superocean. About 175

            million years ago, it began to break up

            and gradually divide over millions of

            years to become close to the Earth we

            live on today.

                                                                            For almost one billion years, there


                                                                            was no life of any form on Earth.

                                                                            3.5 billion years ago, some tiny

                                                                            organisms that couldn’t be seen by

                                                                            the naked eye started to appear.

                                                                            They have marked the  rst sign of

                                                                            life on the planet.
