Let’s Connect
Did the Earth Always Look Like How It Is Now?
Nearly 335 million years ago, the Earth
was in the form of a big supercontinent.
This supercontinent was called
Pangaea. Pangaea was basically the
continents of our modern world but all
connected into one massive body Before
surrounded by a superocean. About 175
million years ago, it began to break up
and gradually divide over millions of
years to become close to the Earth we
live on today.
Planet Earth: The Beginning
After
For almost one billion years, there
was no life of any form on Earth.
3.5 billion years ago, some tiny
organisms that couldn’t be seen by
the naked eye started to appear.
They have marked the rst sign of
life on the planet.
