Home Connection
Dear Parents,
Your child is involved in learning activities to develop knowledge about
the continent of South America. They may be asked to complete several
tasks at home. Your support, interest, and cooperation with these
activities will support our overall program.
The current lesson is about the physical features of South America. We
urge you to talk to your child about the lesson.
Here are some activities you can use to enhance and enrich your child’s
knowledge.
• Ask your child to tell you two things that they learned from the
lesson.
• Review the map of South America with your child and make sure
they know the name and location of the physical features taught
in the lesson.
• Help your child to research the Amazon rainforest to learn about
different animals that live there. Talk about what makes
them interesting or unusual. Animals to consider:
pythons, sloths, jaguars, and howler monkeys.
Thank you for being our partner in education!
Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
