Landmarks are special places that

            help you recognize where you are in your

            town, state, or country. There are

            landmarks that are made by people and


            others that are naturally created.

                   There are many natural landmarks

            in America. Kilauea is a volcano in Hawaii.

            A volcano is a mountain with a hole at

            the top, through which lava may erupt.

            Glacier Bay is in Alaska. A glacier is a very

            large area of ice that moves slowly down

            a slope or valley. Also, there is Sequoia

            National Forest which is located in


            northern California and it has the world’s

            largest trees. Moreover, there are the

            Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, the

            Dinosaur National Monument, and more!
