Dear Parents,
As part of our social studies program, your child has been learning about
the European Union. Your child learned about the major goals of the EU
and how the EU affects the lives of its citizens.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.
Here are some things you can do to reinforce the content of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
learned from it.
• Use the internet to review with your child the design of the EU
flag and what the design stands for.
• Watch a video about the formation of the EU and the Maastricht
Treaty.
• Show your child photographs of different EU country members.
Talk about how working together can often be better or more
powerful than working separately.
Thank you for being a partner with us
in the education of your child!
Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
