What Is the Form of Government and Culture in France?

Su rage, or the right to vote, started in France in 1848 for men

aged twenty-one and over and in 1944 for women. In 1974,

citizens who were eighteen years old became eligible, or
allowed, to vote in elections. The French government is a

democratic government with an elected president who

appoints a prime minister to direct the actions of the

government. The president appoints ministers and ministers of

state with the help, or the suggestion, of the prime minister. In

2017, France elected its youngest president, Emmanuel

Macron, who was thirty-nine years old.

The French culture is often a mixture of other cultures, such as

Celtic, Greco-Roman, and Germanic. France has a rich history of
                                                                                                French elections
arts, including poetry, writing, music, and painting. French art

can be found in galleries and museums throughout the world.
