Massif Central

This mountain range was formed by

volcanoes long ago and is found in the

southern area of central France. It is

considered perfect for growing crops due to

            its volcanic, ashy soil.

located in the southeast of France and

extends to the west of Nice. It is about 25 km long and up to 700 meters deep in some places. This region

has more than forty towns, most of them located along the river.

            Loire River

France has many rivers, but none longer than the Loire. It extends from the northwest of the country to

the middle and is about 1,020 km long. The valley it has carved contains the largest forest in France, the

            Forêt d’ Orléans.
