                           Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child has been learning about

French history. Your child learned some facts about major events of
                           French history.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson

                           and our related learning activities.
                                 • Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
                                   learned from it.

                                 • Use the internet to review with your child a map of France and
discover photos of its capital city, Paris.

                                 • Use the web to find photos of Charlemagne, Napoleon, or Charles
de Gaulle, who were all important people in the history of France.
                                 • Search for photos of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Discuss what

                                   you see in descriptive language.

Thank you for being a partner with us

in the education of your child!

Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
