Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she

learned from it.
• Use the internet to review with your child a map of North
America and the importance of its location.

• Watch a video about the continent of North America, its major
physical features, and the importance of water resources for
supporting the continent’s economy.

• Show your child different photographs of North America to
determine if the photos match their ideas about North

America. Try to guess what part of the North
American continent the photos might represent.
