Wher
The continent of South America is located in the Western
Hemisphere. Together with North America, it forms one big
“supercontinent”—the Americas.
The two continents are connected at the Isthmus of Panama in
Central America, a narrow strip of land with water on both sides.
South America is mainly located in the Southern Hemisphere, while
a small part of the continent extends into the Northern Hemisphere.
