What are some Colombia, o cially the Republic of Colombia, is located in the

major landforms northwestern area of the South American continent. Colombia was

named in honor of the explorer Christopher Columbus. Its capital city is
of Colombia?
Bogotá. Spanish is Colombia's o cial language, and the Colombian Peso

is its o cial currency. The country is bordered by Panama in the

northwest, which divides the Caribbean Sea from the Paci c Ocean,

Venezuela and Brazil to the east, and Peru and Ecuador to the south.

Colombia is the country that connects South America to Central America

and the continent of North America at its border with Panama.
