Colombia. Your child learned ways that he or she can identify the main
physical features of the country, its natural resources, and its climate.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.
Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
learned from it.
• Use the internet to review with your child a map of Colombia and
the importance of its location.
• Watch a video about Colombia, its major physical features, and
its importance as a country.
• Show your child different photographs of Colombia to determine
if the photos match his or her ideas about the country. Search
for geographical clues in the photos to have him or her
guess if the photos show the coast, the mountains, or
other regions of Colombia.
