                Superlatives




                For all one-syllable and most two-syllable adjectives, we add -est in the superlative form.
                We form the superlative form of adjectives with three or more syllables with most + adjective.
                (For some two-syllable adjectives, such as useful and careful, we also use most + adjective.)
                Adjectives in the superlative form always take the.
                We use the superlative form of adjectives to compare one person, animal, or thing with others.


































            C.  Complete the following sentences with the superlative form of the adjectives in brackets.

                  Example:
                  Mount Everest is   the highest   mountain in the world. (high)
                1.  The traffic is          problem in the city. (serious)
                2.  According to the latest news, Bill Gates is        person in the US. (rich)
                3.  Whales are              animals in the world. (big)
                4.  The teacher asked me              question in the exam. (difficult)

                8.  I think history is         subject at school. (easy)

                9.  Susan bought              jacket in the shop. (expensive)
              10.  My hometown is               city in the country. (beautiful)
