             Organising your files.
             An operating system allows us to place our files into specific folders. This helps us find
             our files more easily. There are special shortcut keys that we can use to do this. Here are
             a few of them:

                 Shortcut

                 Ctrl+X      Cut       This is used for moving a file.

                 Ctrl+C      Copy      This is used for copying a file.

                 Ctrl+V      Paste     This is used for placing a file in another folder.





             Let’s Practise


             Moving a file.
               1    Open ‘File Explorer’ and go to your
                    ‘Documents’ folder. You will find different

                    types of files.
               2    Create the following folders: ‘Presentations’,

                    ‘Spreadsheets’, ‘Pictures’, and ‘Word files’.

               3    Now, move the files to the proper folder
                    based on the file type.

               4    Click on the file, press Ctrl+X and then
                    double-click the folder you will move the file
                    to and press Ctrl+V. Do this for every file.
