Cell Format

                                           ‘Format Cells’ ‘Number’ tab

                                             increase/decrease decimals

             Let’s Learn

Values and labels can be displayed in different ways. According to what a value or a
label represents, we can change its format. This better helps us understand what we
are viewing in a spreadsheet. Cell format is the way we change a number’s appearance
             without changing the number itself.

             Let’s Practise

             Formatting a cell.

1 Open the file ‘Cell Formats.xlsx’.

2 You are going to change the cell format of cells ‘C4:C8’,

according to each description in the cells on their left.

3 Right-click on the cell you wish to change

                         and choose ‘Format Cells’.

4 You are now viewing the ‘Number’ tab.

The list on the left is called ‘Category’. From
