Some categories have extra options. You can
choose how many decimals a number can have.
You can increase or decrease decimals. You can
also choose the type of date you want to display.
After choosing the recommended formats, your
cells should now look like this:

You can also change the format of a cell from the
‘Number’ menu in the ‘Home’ tab. Move your cursor
over the options to find the ones you used before. What
differences can you notice?

Now, try to use the ‘Number’ menu to change the format of some cells. Open the file ‘cell
formats 2.xlsx’. Change the format of cells ‘C4:C8’. Use the descriptions on their left.
