When you release the mouse button, the
second paragraph automatically changes
and looks like the first one.
Fun Time!
If you want to use ‘Format Painter’ again, you have to repeat the same process as before.
Format painting ends when you release the mouse button after selecting the text you want
to change. However, you can use format painting even after you release the mouse button by
double-clicking on the ‘Format Painter’ button.
Use format painting for the next three paragraphs. To cancel format painting, press the ‘Esc’
key on your keyboard. Your cursor will revert to normal.
Challenge Yourself!
You can also use shortcuts to use the ‘Format Painter’ option.
Try these combinations:
• Ctrl+Shift+C
First, select the text you want to copy from. Then, use this
combination to ‘copy’ the formatting.
• Ctrl+Shift+V
Select the text you want to change. Then, use this
combination to ‘apply’ the formatting you copied earlier.
Use format painting for the rest of the text to make it look like
the first paragraph. When you’re done, save the file and exit.
