Suburban Community
A suburban community is a
medium-sized community, usually
located near a large city. Houses are
close together. You may nd malls for
shopping.
There are fewer people in a suburban
community. Many people need to drive
or take a bus or train to their work, to
shops, or to school. Buildings are not as
tall. There are more parks and natural
areas for people to enjoy.
Rural Community
In a rural community, houses are far apart.
In rural communities, people do not live
close together. Buildings are spread out
over large distances. A rural community
has lots of open space and natural areas
for farms and forests. You may see animals
like cows, horses, sheep, and goats in
elds.
