                           Dear Parents,

Your child is involved in learning activities designed to develop

knowledge about life in the early communities and empires of Mexico
and South America. They may be asked to complete several tasks at
home. Your support, interest, and cooperation with these activities will

                           support our overall program.
Our current lesson is about the empires of the Aztec and the Inca people.

We urge you to talk with your child about the lesson.

Here are some activities you can use to enhance and enrich your child’s

                           knowledge.
                                 • Ask your child to tell you two things they learned from the lesson.
                                 • Search for examples of the beautiful gold jewelry and art pieces

that the Inca people made. Look for masks and sculptures that the
Aztec people made during their lifetime. Talk about the pieces
using adjectives (describing words). Have your child draw one of

the pieces that they see online.
                                 • Search for animals that the Incas used in their daily life

like llamas and alpacas. Search for an animal that the
                                   Aztecs knew like iguanas.

Thank you for being our partner in education!

Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
