Africa: Connecting the World
The continent of Africa has a special
location in the middle of the world map,
Arctic Ocean
which links it to most regions. It is
connected to Europe from the north by the
Mediterranean Sea, to North and South
Atlantic
America from the west by the Atlantic Ocean Paci c
Paci c Ocean
Ocean, and to Australia and Asia from the Ocean
Indian
east. Although Antarctica is far from Africa, Ocean
they are connected by the Atlantic Ocean.
Southern Ocean
Africa: The Continent of Many Languages
Africa is one of the continents that is full of
diversity, one way of which is the
languages spoken. Africa has 1500–2000
di erent languages spoken. Some of those
languages are widely spoken like Swahili,
Arabic, French, Portuguese, etc., while
some others are exclusive to a speci c
ethnic group in a country like Zulu, Tswana,
and Tsonga.
