Africa is the second largest

continent on Earth. It is home to

the Sahara Desert, which is the

largest desert in the world.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the land area

south of the Sahara Desert.

Savannas are land covered in

grass and trees. They exist in areas

of warm temperature. Savannas

cover much of Africa and are best

for farming in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Famous Savanna crops are millet,

sorghum, okra, yams, and peas.

Farmers on the Savannas also raise

goats and cattle.
