Where Is Egypt?
Knowing where we are in our big world is important. As
we grow up, we need to understand how to nd a
location in our community, in our country, and on our
Earth. Many people from all over the world hope to visit
the Arab Republic of Egypt. They need to know the
location of Egypt to travel and enjoy the many special
places in the country.
Egypt on the globe
To locate Egypt on a map or globe, you will need to
identify the hemisphere in which it is located, to discover
if it is in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. “Hemi”
means half. “Sphere” means round. A hemisphere is half of
a round shape. Egypt is located in the Northern

Hemisphere.
