The Middle East in the Past
In the past, the Middle East was based around its
water bodies, the Nile, the Tigris, and the Euphrates Irrigation canal system at the
Rivers, whose populations used to serve their Euphrates River in Syria
agricultural and living needs. For hundreds of years,
the Nile supported Egyptians who lived on its banks,
while the Mesopotamians depended on the Tigris
and the Euphrates. The rivers also helped these
civilizations in transportation and trade, which made
other civilizations interested in the area.
The Middle East in the Present
Now, the Middle East has changed to a more modern
approach in which countries no longer consider

One of the main industries the Middle East invests in
the most is oil export, and Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran,
and the United Arab Emirates are its main exporters
in the region. However, other countries like Bahrain,
Egypt, and Lebanon invest in tourism as one of their
biggest sources of income.
