             About Ancient Egypt



            Ancient Egyptian civilization was one of the major

            civilizations of the Mediterranean world from Egypt's

            uni cation around 3100 B.C.E. until the invasion of

            Alexander the Great in 332 B.C.E.

            Historians learned about ancient Egyptian civilization

            from Egyptian monuments and artifacts in di erent

            Egyptian archeological sites.




























                      The Sphinx and Giza Pyramids, Egypt




            Neolithic (later part of the Stone Age) settlers of

            northeastern Africa started to change from hunters to

            farmers and made advances that paved the way for

            future development.

            Around 3400 B.C.E., two separate kingdoms were built

            up, with the Red Land toward the north in the Nile

            Delta and the White Land in the south.
