Let’s Observe







             King Menes



            Known as an ancient Egyptian hero, Menes

            united both Upper and Lower Egypt into a

            single kingdom and called its capital Memphis,

            which made him the ruler of the  rst dynasty.

            After Menes became the ruler and the hero of

            ancient Egypt, he established the policies and

            religious practices of the kingdom and


            established peace throughout the area.

            King Menes’ reign was considered a time of

            prosperity for ancient Egypt. He was crowned

            with a special two-piece crown that

            symbolized his uni cation of Upper and Lower               King Menes with the double crown in

             King Djoser



            Coming from a royal family, Djoser ruled Egypt

            for approximately 29 years during which he

            had many buildings built in his name, one of

            which was the Saqqara Pyramid where he was

            buried.

            Djoser led a lot of military expeditions

            searching for minerals and resources in what is

            now known as the Sinai Peninsula.
