             Ancient Greece

Ancient Greece was on the verge of collapsing

and in a continuous decline until the rule of

            Alexander the Great.

By the conquests and wars that Alexander the

Great led the Greeks through, ancient Greece

was extended from Central Asia to the western

            end of the Mediterranean Sea.

Later, because of the Roman conquests and the

death of Alexander, the Romans gained a

higher power and developed a Roman province

in what was called Roman Greece. The Roman

and Greek cultures greatly a ected each other. Alexander the Great in battle

             Modern Greece

Greece now is much smaller than in the

past; it is located between the three

continents of Africa, Europe, and Asia and

            bordered by Albania, Macedonia, and

            Bulgaria.

Greece is a developed country with a

variety of income resources such as

tourism and shipping due to its excellent

            location.
