Cathedral of Notre Dame

                                                                            This is the most famous cathedral of


                                                                            the Middle Ages. It is very well known

                                                                            for its great architecture and history

                                                                            and for its beautiful stained-glass

                                                                            windows and stone gargoyles. Books

                                                                            have been written about the

                                                                            cathedral, including The Hunchback of

                                                                            Notre Dame. This important church


                                                                            receives about thirteen million visitors

                                                                            every year. However, this historical

                                                                            structure was badly damaged in a

              The Palais Garnier

              The Palais Garnier or Opera

              Garnier was built in 1875 by the

              architect Charles Garnier. It is

              considered one of the greatest

              historical monuments in France.

              It contains a big auditorium


              with a painted ceiling that can

              house up to 2054 spectators. It

              is one of the most visited

              monuments in Paris.
