About France
France is an independent country in Western Europe and is the
third largest country in the continent after Russia and Ukraine.
France was a host of one of the world’s most famous empires in
history, the Roman Empire, which was established by Julius Caesar
over Gaul in 51 B.C.E.

In France, we can nd Mediterranean beaches, alpine villages, and
cities from the medieval, or Middle Ages, era. Its capital, Paris, has
many historical buildings and great museums, or buildings in which
historical objects are displayed, and is one of the world’s most
famous fashion centers. France is considered to be one of the most
advanced nations of the world.
