                           Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child has been learning about

the continent of Asia. Your child learned about physical features of the
continent, its natural resources, and its climate.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the content of this lesson

                           and our related learning activities.
                                 • Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
                                   learned from it.

                                 • Use the internet to review with your child a map of Asia and the
importance of its location. Find five major cities on this continent.

                                 • Watch a video about climbing Mount Everest. Talk about the
difficulty of climbing such a high mountain. Consider equipment,
clothing, and food that would be necessary to make a climb.

                                 • Look around your home. Search for three items that were made
                                   on the continent of Asia.

Thank you for being a partner with us
in the education of your child!

Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
