                                                                  Megapixel.

                                                                  Cameras nowadays can take pictures
                                                                  which have millions of pixels!

                                                                  One million pixels is called a megapixel,
                                                                  or MP for short.

                                                                  So, if your camera can take pictures of up
                                                                  to 48 megapixels, that means your picture
                                                                  can have 48,000,000 pixels!

                                                                  Do you have a camera? How many
                                                                  megapixels does it support?

              Measuring the size of an image.
              This is a picture of a star in the sky.
              Can you count how many columns it has?
              If you counted 7, you’re correct.

              Now count the rows. There are 9!
              So, the size of the picture is 7x9. If you
              multiply the numbers, you get 63, which is
              the resolution of the image.
