Let’s Practise ‘Crop’ tool

Cropping pictures.

1 Open the file named ‘All About Dogs.docx’.

2 Under the text, insert the picture

‘Golden Retriever.jpg’.

3 Click on the picture to select it. The

‘Format’ tab appears in the menu.

To crop the picture, click on the
upper part of the ‘Crop’ tool in the
‘Size’ tools menu, as seen in the
picture.

5 Cropping bars will appear around
the picture.

6 Click and drag the black bars

to crop the picture.

7 Click in the blank space of your document 8

when you’re done to finish cropping. Resize the picture to fit.

Save the file.

Fun Time!

Add one more picture to the document ‘All About Dogs.docx’. Choose the picture
‘Brittany.jpg’, which is found in your ‘Documents’ folder. Crop the left of the picture
and resize it to fit on the page.

Challenge Yourself!

Choose an online picture, add it to the document, and crop it in any way you want.
Try resizing all three pictures to fit them on the page.
