          Mr. Ross is a social studies teacher. He tells his students that he

          wants to travel to Japan, but he doesn’t know which

          continent Japan is located in. He asks his students to

          help him  nd the answer. Jasmine, a student in his

          class, brings a globe and spins it, searching for

          Japan, and then tells him it is in Asia. Was using a

          globe the right choice?

                                            Salma’s mom is taking her to visit her friend Mark,

                                            but she doesn’t know where Mark lives. Salma

                                            runs to her room to bring a globe to see which

                                            road to take.

           Lily was checking the globe and she found that

           there are three main colors covering the Earth:

           yellow, green, and blue. What do you think those

           colors represent?




                         Conclusion



             Maps and globes are both used to  nd places. However, a globe is the

             right choice when you want to see where a certain continent is located,

             while a map is a better choice when you want to see where a speci c

             road is in a particular city.
