Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child is learning about maps
and globes. In class, we learned about the differences between them and
when to use them.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Ask your child to tell you two things that they learned from the
lesson.

• Practice using a map when you are going out together. You can
use online maps or buy a paper road map for your area.
• Talk about the continents and try to find them on a globe.

• Ask your child to draw a map from your home to a neighborhood
store.
