A map has many symbols. How can we understand them?
Maps have colors and symbols to tell us whether a certain part is an
ocean, a mountain, a snowy land, a border, or a capital city. Maps
have a key or a legend that tells us what each color or symbol means
to help us understand the information on the map.
How do you nd a location if you
don’t have a map with you?
You can use your cell phone to nd any
location you want. Every cell phone now
has a full map of the world to help you
nd your way when you are lost.
