        Why do people in Egypt live near the Nile River?

         Many people in Egypt live along the Nile because

            it is a good place to grow crops and  sh.

         The water of the Nile mixes with the sand and

            creates silt, which helps plants grow.

         People use the silt to farm and produce

            fruits and vegetables for their families and for

            the market.
