Some Countries of the Middle East
Saudi Arabia Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the Middle
East, with an area of approximately 2,150,000 km

and a population of 33 million.
Saudi Arabia’s largest city and capital is Riyadh, and
it has approximately 7,000,000 of the population.
As for its economic status, Saudi Arabia has the
largest economy in the Middle East. It is one of the
largest petroleum-exporter countries, and it has
the second largest proven petroleum reserves.
Turkey
Turkey is the fourth largest country in the Middle
East, with an area of 783,562 km and a population

of 80 million. Istanbul, Turkey
Turkey’s largest city is Istanbul with an area of
5,461 km and a population of 15 million. However,

Turkey’s capital is Ankara, holding a population of
5.5 million.
On the economic side, Turkey has the 17 largest

gross domestic product (GDP) in the world and is
known for its automotive industry which is one of
its highest sources of income.
