Pharaohs could rule at any

age, because they had viziers

who gave them advice and

helped them know about what

was going on in the kingdom.

They also had

commanders-in-chief to run their

armies, nomarchs to control the

di erent regions, and mayors to

control small villages and towns

in those regions.

In addition, there were the

priests who took care of the

temples and headed ceremonies,

funerals, and festivals. They

enjoyed great riches and were of
Pharaoh
great importance to the Pharaoh.
