Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child has been learning about

the United Arab Emirates. Your child learned about major landforms,
geography, and the economics of the UAE.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the content of this lesson

and our related learning activities.
• Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
learned from it.

• Use the internet to discover some facts about Burj Khalifa, the
world’s tallest building in 2017.

• Watch a video about the UAE and how the government played a
major role in the country’s economic leap.
• Search for different photographs of the UAE from long ago and

today. Discuss what looks different.
• Learn about the sports of falconry or camel racing. Both are
important parts of life in the UAE.
