Factors That Shaped the Development of the Modern UAE
The UAE has developed and grown greatly since its independence in 1971 and has done what a lot of
other countries could not do in such a very short time. It also managed to be an example of democracy
and prosperity to the rest of the world; for example, people from all over the world today visit its cities to
either work or just go sightseeing. What do you think helped in shaping the modern UAE? Why could not
other countries develop in such a short time? Do you think this development is only related to the oil
industry?
