What Is the Jordanian Culture Like?





            English is widely spoken.

            The government in Jordan supports the arts

            through cultural festivals and encourages

            handicrafts, or hand-made products, such as

            leather crafts, pottery, and ceramic wares.

            Literature and poetry are important to Jordanians. One of the most famous poets in the kingdom is


            Mustafa Wahbi Al-Tal, who died in 1949, but whose writing is still widely read by the people of Jordan.

            The main religion of Jordan is Islam, but it is a country that is very tolerant of all religions. There are many
