Jordan in the Past versus Today

            Jordan in the Past

After the Greek Empire was split and during its collapse, a big part of Jordan was part of the Nabataean

Kingdom in which they spread their trading routes and established their business in the area. This

continued until the Romans dominated the area and gave most of it to the Byzantine Empire.

The Ottomans were later in control until they lost the land to the British during World War I. In 1920,

tribes gathered and established one army called the Arab Legion, which they used to later have the

independence of the area in 1946.

            Jordan Today
