Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child has been learning about

Jordan. Your child learned about the history and development of Jordan.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the content of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
learned from it.
• Use the internet to review with your child a map of Jordan.

Review the country’s location and how it is an important part of
the Middle East.

• Watch a video about Jordan and the major points of interest in
the country.
• Watch a video about the city of Petra and its importance for the

tourism in Jordan.
• Look at photos of the Dead Sea. Have your child discover three
interesting facts about this unusual body of water.
