             China


            China, or the People’s Republic of China, is known to be the most

            populated country in Asia and in the whole world. It is the second

            largest country in the world, and it shares its borders with 14

            di erent countries.

            One-third of China's land is mountainous. The highest peak in the

            world, Mount Everest, lies on the border between China and Nepal.

            China has also thousands of rivers, the longest of which is the


            Yangtze River, which is the third-longest river in the world, with a

            length of 6300 km.

            Chinese culture is diverse and unique. It holds a variety of arts,

            festivals, and symbols that de ne the country.  The Chinese also

            introduced a number of inventions that shaped the world such as

            paper, silk, the magnetic compass, and printing. They were the  rst

            to use silk, bronze, wood, and paper to make art, and they were the

             rst to introduce the art of calligraphy, or the art of beautiful

            handwriting.
