How Is the Climate of Asia?
Asia has varieties of climate zones because of the
di erent landforms and water bodies:
• West Asia has the highest temperatures on Earth due to
its desert conditions, with a high degree of dryness.
• Much of Russia has a subarctic climate like Alaska since
its location is near the North Pole or the Arctic
region.
• Central Asia has a steppe climate with various rainfall

• Southern Asia has a variety of monsoon rains, or
seasonal wind weather.
• Southeast Asia has a savannah, or a at grassland in
tropical areas, and the climate is warm and wet with
large rainforests.
