Why does Australia celebrate Christmas in
summer?
Seasons in the Northern Hemisphere are opposite to
seasons in the Southern Hemisphere. When it is
winter north of the Equator, it is summer south of
the Equator. That’s the reason why America
celebrates Christmas when it is snowy while
Australia celebrates it in the summer sunshine.
