Growing Crops: Then versus Now
The ancient Egyptian civilization was
based on growing crops near the Nile
River. It was famous for planting many
crops like wheat, barley, vegetables, and
more. After thousands of years, Egypt still
maintains agriculture as one of the main
resources. This is because Egypt has
nutrient-rich soil to plant seeds in.
Nowadays, Egypt is famous worldwide for
crops such as cotton that is used to make
the highest quality of clothes and bedding
all around the world.

Hieroglyphs: How to Read Them?
Hieroglyphs were the system ancient Egyptians used
to write and document their life for the world to
understand their history. It was very di cult to
understand that system because it was made of 750
signs. But, on July 15, 1799, the Rosetta Stone was
discovered. It had inscriptions that helped us
successfully nd a way to translate the hieroglyphic
language. And now after thousands of years, we can
easily understand and read the language thanks to
the discovery of the Rosetta Stone.
